The main goals of Networking Events are to increase cooperation, knowledge and peer exchange between energy agencies across Europe.
The Networking Events are annual events, organized once a year between 2018 and 2020, typically during the EU Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels (EUSEW – www.eusew.eu). These events consist of half day events dedicated solely to energy agency staff, which are followed or preceded by a public Talk in the evening.
These informative exchange meetings will gather energy agencies and stimulate discussions about recent policy and market developments, in order to raise the capacity of all stakeholders and to stimulate investments. In order to spark interest and interactions, many group exercises are featured during the Networking Events.
In June 2018 was already organized the first Networking Event, entitled “Inspiration and Innovation: Positioning Your Energy Agency as a Leader in the Energy Transition”. Participants discussed new services, large scale projects and visibility of energy agencies.
The second Networking Event took place on the 20th of June 2019, also during EUSEW. The theme of the event was “ensuring a sustainable future for your agency”. Discussions and practical exercises focused on the strategic positioning of energy agencies and on the technical facilities PDA and ELENA.
The third and last ManagEnergy Networking Event was organised in Wels, Austria, during the World Sustainable Energy Days and Energy Efficiency Conference. On the 4th of March, 58 participants from 23 countries joined the workshop to discuss new opportunities available for local and regional energy agencies.
